Wk 6 Stat recap... and the new hot pickups!

Link to Week 6 scoring leaders.

http://www.nfl.com/stats/weeklyleaders?week=6&season=2007

Tom terrific led the qb pack once again 5 td's... but the biggest qb news of the day is the emergence of one Cleo Lemon. Those of us in San Diego had the insight on this guy's strong arm. If you need a quarterback... how does 2 td tosses and 2 td runs sound to you?
I imagine that Cleo will be one of the top pickups this week. I benched Tony Romo and played cleo this week. A bold move that paid off... keep in mind Cleo still gets two games with Buffalo and a game with the Jets!

Also, Keep Jeff Garcia in your sights... he's playing Detroit next week...
McNair/Boller will get Buffalo... more likely making Mason and Mark Clayton hot plays.

The running back story is of course Adrian Peterson 3 td's and 220 yards and LT 4 td's and 198 yards. By far, the most popular pickup in yahoo leagues... for week 6 was Jason Wright, filling in for an injured Jamal Lewis. It paid off... 1 td and 59 yards rushing. Next week he's on a bye and Jamal will likely be back soon.... so this one hit wonder is probrably over.

One thought... Anybody rushing against the bears and the dolphins has a good shot at having a big day!

Next thought... Larry Johnson lost the goose-egg... should've had 2 td's except for a freak fumble through the endzone... and next week he gets the raiders... a soft schedule coming up... could make for a good trade opportunity!

Third thought... How bout trading for Thomas Jones... he's rushed for a 100 yds... two of the last three weeks... and the next two weeks... he gets Cincy and Buffalo... You could probrably swindle him for a song... His schedule gets tougher after that with Washington and Dallas..... but he still gets miami and cleveland... in weeks 13 and 14... the finish is tough though with NE, Tenn, and Pitt.... Four Cream puff defenses in there!

Wr's
Wes Welker and his 100+ and 2 td's is already active on the waiver wire this sunday night... (seems like a good move to have any Patriot wide receiver)
I would imagine Houston's Kevin Walter and his 160 yards will make him the flavor of the week... especially since Andre Johnson is out another month... but Houston gets Tennessee next... an Awesome defense... so think twice.... and don't forget that Andre Davis is a top target and Jacoby Jones is phasing back into the offense. The injury to Schaub also makes this a questionable move.

Bobby Engram of Seattle is a good pickup. He's moved into the slot with Branch out and he caught 120 yds worth of reasons to add him to your lineup. Need another reason... Hasselback seems to have some of his magic back... and Shawn Alexander is struggling.... OH YEAH... They get St. Louis next week... BINGO!

Bernard Berrian.. Griese makes him a better option... same with Muhammed. They get Philly next week... so they will probably be throwing from behind... and Philly's DBs are banged up. Be wary of Devin Hester temptation... The element of surprise is gone... and unless you play in a league that include punt and kickoff returns as an individual stat i'd stay away... unless he does it again. Watch... I bet a lot of people take a chance on him... Don't waste a roster spot unless you are replacing dead weight and can survive with him on your bench.

Just a few reflective thoughts about sunday performances...

Kennison inactive

Sammie Parker will start Kennison... and he's got a decent matchup!

Drew Bennet Starts for Bruce

Bruce is inactive

Carr is out Vinny to Start

Chi WR Bernard Berrian is active!

According to rotowire

According to rotowire!

McNair Looks to sit!

Yahoo is reporting that Steve McNair is watching and will not start due to a bad back!

BOLDIN OUT!

BOLDIN OUT!

According the Arizona Republic No Boldin.... Bryant Johnson is a decent #3 Wr option.

Cincy RB Watson will start... but

Rudi Johnson is probable and will likely see a good amount of action.
